Top Ten Tuesday: Anticipated Releases For The First Half of 2016

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week, we are listing our most anticipated releases for the first half of 2016. I'm so excited for 2016 to start, there are so many books I'm looking forward to. This list will be in no particular order, as I'm pretty much equally excited for all of them.

The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh. The release date for this book is May 3rd, and I'm so excited.

The Winds of Winter by George R. R. Martin. Honestly, this doesn't even have a release date yet. I will not lose hope, and I want this to come out before season six of Game of Thrones, which is out in April.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I can't even explain how excited I am for this book. A Court of Thorns and Roses was one of my favourites this year, and one of my all time favourites. I can't wait to see where the story takes us. We don't have a specific release date yet, but it will come out in May.

Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. This comes out January 5th. I don't know a lot about this book, but I keep hearing everyone talk about it, and they are really looking forward to it, and therefore I am too.

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. This also comes out on January 5th, and I don't know a lot about this one either. The premise seems really cool though, and I hope the book doesn't disappoint.

I'll See You In Paris by Michelle Gable. This is out February 9th. I already have an arc of it, that I got through NetGalley, but I haven't been able to get to it yet. This isn't a genre I usually read, but I've learned that I always tend to enjoy genres I'm not used to a lot more than I think, and therefore I want to give this book a chance.

Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel- This is out April 26th, and I also have an adc of this through NetGalley. This is written like an interview, and I don't think I've ever read a book that's written like that. I'm really excited, and I hope I get to it really soon.

Finding Hope by Colleen Nelson. This comes out March 19th, and is the third and final book on this list that I have an arc of, again through NetGalley. I don't really know a lot of what it's about, but again, I'm really excited to read it.

This Is Where It Ends by Marieke Nijkamp. The release date for this book is January 5th. My friend told me about this book, and she was really looking forward to it, and it seems like a book I will really like as well. All I know is that this takes place during a school shooting, and I don't really want to know anymore. I prefer to go into books knowing as little as possible, that way I don't have any expectations.

The Shadow Queen by C. J. Redwine. This comes out Februrary 16th. From what I've gathered, this is a retelling of Snow White. 2015 seemed like a big year for retellings, and I loved it. So I hope we get lots of them in 2016 as well.

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury. This comes out February 23rd. This is also a fairytale retelling, but Aladdin this time. I'm really excited about this, because I love Aladdin so much. It's one of my favourite movies, and I just can't wait to read this.

Starflight by Melissa Landers. This comes out February 2nd. Again, a book I really don't know a lot about, but the cover is so beautiful.

So, I have actually have a few more than 10 on my list today, but that's okay. There are just so many good books coming out next year!

What books are you looking forward to?
